Makerspace
Lesson Plans

Welcome to A Maker's Life lesson plans for makerspace learning! A makerspace lesson plan is unique to the hands-on learning environment where makers are encouraged to imagine, design, and create. These makerspace lessons include reflection questions, collaborative sharing and opportunities to seek adjustments and problem solve challenges that may arise. As Sam Beckett says, "Try again. Fail again. Fail better." In makerspace activities, making is to build meaning and purpose by connecting to community.

Why Makerspace
Lesson Plans?

Makerspace lesson plans and activities encourage students to understand that obstacles are meant to be thinking fuel. Mistakes are data for creating, designing and making more than thought possible. Makerspace activities encourage hands-on learning, finding solutions and diving deeply into adjustments and iterations. These lesson plans are for making empowerment and opportunities for exploring complexity in an environment of community, connection and...fun!
